Who Is Shawn Campbell

I was born in Vancouver British Columbia a long time ago. I attended Queen’s University in Kingston Ontario and I graduated with first class honours earning a degree in Psychology. I pursued my ambition to become a lawyer following my graduation from Queen’s Law School in 1981 with a law degree called a Juris Doctor degree. Since that time, I have concentrated my practice on Family Law, Wills and Estates and related real estate transactions. I am a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Peel Law Association, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.

The modern day practice of law requires successful lawyers to be good negotiators, patient thoughtful listeners, good communicators, and reasonable, confident advocates. I have three decades of experience learning, developing and honing my skills in preparing simple and complicated Wills, Powers of Attorney for Property and Powers of Attorney for Personal Care, Guardianship Applications for incapable loved ones, preparing custom made Separation Agreements, simple and complex Marriage Contracts to meet clients’ special individual circumstances, pursuing Estate beneficiaries’ claims, representing Executors and Trustees or assisting with the administration of small and very large Estates. I have completed advanced training in mediation, but I am equally comfortable in any Court. I have represented clients in cases all over Ontario, in the Ontario Court of Justice, the Ontario Superior Court, and the Court of Appeal for Ontario. I have also worked on cases in the Supreme Court of Canada and with special permission, la Cour Superieure du Quebec and the Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador (Court of Appeal). I have worked with a network of Business Valuators, Actuaries, Pension Valuators, Accountants, Property Appraisers and lawyers who are experts in other areas of law. I have the knowledge and the experience to get the job done!
